I believe... in tiptoeing...

Whenever I decide to pop my silly head into discussions of "controversial and touchy subject matter", I'm always paranoid that people will assume the worse of me and reinterprete my comment as something utterly diabolical. Kinda scary feeling to be honest.

Long ago, I checked out and then I decided to make a comment and then I was accused of stirring trouble and ARGH you know what let the stupid boys play in their stupid world, I don't like being freaked out.

Even though I am ANTI-DISCRIMINATION of all forms and a total GEEKY NERD...I just have this odd feeling that others who claim to be of the same leaning don't see that of me. *sigh* I just feel as though left-wingers and geeks hate me. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

  1. Hi,

I popped by through your comments on womanist-musings and just wanted to commiserate with you. I feel the same sometimes. I worry that I might be saying the wrong thing when I agree, or maybe I don't have the right words and I'll tread on someone's toes and end up making a fool of myself and offending a bunch of people inadvertantly.

This is painfully true when I'm commenting on an experience I've never had but feel very strongly about (ie. I'm vehemently pro-choice, but I've never had an abortion).

  2. I found this from SWPD. I understand. i think not having a confrontational personality makes it difficult for me to really go hard like some people do on the internet.. it still seems that I put my foot in my mouth regardless... Thanks for the support though. I appreciate it.

The only way I cope and this isnt the nicest thing to say but I think.. "even idiots can log on and type" LOL
